This on-demand course is a live recording of the Urgent Care Women’s Health conference. Hear from GYN, Family Practice, and Urgent Care physicians who will teach you strategies to manage common outpatient issues and important medical presentations, such as diagnosing and/or managing female-related complaints in the urgent care, the emergency department, and other outpatient settings.

Objectives:

• Understand the principles of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and apply its 4-step process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring) to women's health conditions.

• Apply nutrition-based strategies to manage common female health concerns, including perimenopause, menopause, thyroid dysfunction, and osteoporosis.

• Recommend dietary interventions for cardiovascular health, using evidence-based guidelines such as the DASH diet to reduce risk factors in women.

• Identify nutritional needs during pregnancy and breastfeeding, including appropriate caloric intake, essential vitamins, and macronutrient balance.

• Incorporate nutrition guidance in oncology care, especially for breast cancer, by promoting plant-based diets, reducing saturated fats, and understanding the role of phytoestrogens.
