Camp is in Session

• Lots of clinicians choose to be camp providers as a side job. Whether you work in the ER, urgent care, or primary care, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration to see if this is a good fit for you. We explore questions you need to ask the camp (and yourself), as well as prepare you for the common emergencies you may face, so you can confidently commit to fun in the sun at camp.

Concussions

• Kids will be kids. With all the running around there is bound to be a collision or two. It's crucial to be prepared and knowledgeable about common symptoms of a concussion and the appropriate measures to take when faced with such incidents in a camp setting. We explore the typical signs of concussion and the effective approaches to handling them, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers.

Not All Fun and Games

• Explore individual and group emergencies to make sure you are adequately prepared in case you encounter one. Delve into individual medical concerns and emergency protocols that you will hopefully not need but glad that you reviewed. 

Sharing is Not Always Caring

• Review some common communicable diseases and dermatological concerns and how you can best approach them with the resources you have. We will examine precautions to take to minimize exposure and maximize fun. 

This course consists of chapters of video lectures, each with multiple case scenarios going over anatomy, diagnosis, management, and treatment. Our standard audio/video slide recordings and course material pdf means you can view the course as many times as needed, at your own schedule and pace. After review of the course and completion of a short quiz and evaluation, your CME certificate will be generated to download.
