In this course, you will learn to identify common and life-threatening arrhythmias and findings for various heart disease processes. Review basics such as EKG physiology, axis, voltage, and anatomy and be able to read EKGs to identify abnormalities.

Course
Identify and interpret common EKG rhythms, including sinus tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs).
Differentiate wide complex tachycardias, such as ventricular tachycardia, SVT with aberrancy, and torsades de pointes, using EKG criteria.
Evaluate EKG intervals and conduction blocks, including PR, QRS, and QT abnormalities, and recognize various degrees of heart block.
Assess chamber enlargement and hypertrophy using voltage criteria for left and right ventricular hypertrophy (LVH, RVH) and atrial enlargement (LAE, RAE).
Recognize EKG signs of ischemia and infarction, including ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), reciprocal changes, and hyperacute T-waves, using lead localization and universal criteria.
