Learn How to Treat Women's Health Issues in Urgent Care!

Women's Health focused Urgent Care is an emerging field as more and more women visit clinics for their health issues. Learn how this new paradigm in healthcare means providers are adopting a more women's health centric scope of practice.

Topics Covered in the

Conference

This on-demand course is a live recording of the Urgent Care Women’s Health conference. Hear from GYN, Family Practice, and Urgent Care physicians who will teach you strategies to manage common outpatient issues and important medical presentations, such as diagnosing and/or managing female-related complaints in the urgent care, the emergency department, and other outpatient settings.

Objectives:

  • Develop a comprehensive differential diagnosis for acute abdominal pain in women, considering both gastrointestinal and gynecologic causes.

  • Identify common diagnostic pitfalls in evaluating pregnant patients with abdominal pain and recognize how pregnancy can mask or mimic other serious conditions.

  • Apply appropriate imaging strategies in reproductive-age women, including the use of ultrasound and CT based on clinical scenario and safety considerations.

  • Recognize gynecologic emergencies such as ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy, and heterotopic pregnancy, and initiate timely evaluation and referral.

  • Integrate patient-centered communication and decision-making when addressing sensitive issues like pregnancy loss, IVF-related complications, and anxiety during emergency care.
