This course was created for the new PA, NP, or physician entering the urgent care setting for the first time, but also provides a thorough review for providers who have been practicing in UC for a while. Multiple case scenarios are explored to best enable you to apply the information immediately to your practice.   • Inflammation/infection involving the upper respiratory tract and the conditions of the HEENT system, such as acute otitis media, asthma, pharyngitis, conjunctivitis, and headache

  • Patient education and patient satisfaction

  • Genitourinary conditions, including vaginitis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, pediatric UTI, and UTI in pregnancy

  • Tick-borne illness, such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and babesiosis

  • Skin and soft-tissue conditions, such as herpes zoster, poison ivy, paronychia, and cellulitis and abscesses

  • Musculoskeletal injuries and x-rays for management of ankle injuries, low back pain, and gout

  • Concussion symptoms, management, and comorbidities commonly associated with a more protracted course of recovery as well as recommendations for safe return to play, learning, and work

  • Current recommendations for treatment of STIs, such as chlamydia and gonorrhea, as well as for PrEP and post-exposure prophylaxis recommendations

  • Acute abdominal pain, imaging modalities, and appropriate disposition

  • COVID-19 testing, common patient concerns, and the populations in whom monoclonal antibody use is appropriate
