He developed documentation best practices, benchmark coding strategies, and physician executive development pathways that are a recognized best practice case study among the urgent care community. His passion for healthcare improvement through technology advancement leads him to routinely consult on clinical technology selection and design/implementation and optimization for electronic health record systems, and clinical team adoption through quality assurance development.
Before starting his successful consulting business, Dr. Harnett served as the Chief Medical Officer for American Family Care where he was a key executive responsible for it's growth from 24 to 170+ clinics during a 5-year span, leading AFC to become the second largest private urgent care operator in the US. While at AFC, Dr. Harnett also provided oversight for Joint Venture designs, Laboratory operations, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Physician Scheduling, Physician Recruitment, Physician Liaison, Patient Advocate, Nursing, and Credentialing Departments.
Prior to his work at AFC, Dr. Harnett was the Emergency Department Medical Director for Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Bluffton, SC (whose emergency department received a Tenet 5-star patient satisfaction rating under his leadership) and Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, GA. Dr. Harnett earned a BA in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire and his MD at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Emory University and was Chief Resident at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He is a trustee of the Urgent Care Association of America's (UCAOA) Foundation and has also served as the Urgent Care Advisor to George Washington University's Antibiotic Resistance Action Center. Dr. Harnett's many awards and recognition include Most Outstanding Resident 2004 Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine. He was named the Emory Physician Assistant Resident Teacher of the Year was chosen as the Physician of the Year by his peers and hospital staff at Coastal Carolina Medical Center.
He is happily married to his wife Casey, is the proud father of 13-year-old twins, and a new baby boy born in June 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys building scale wooden model boats, skiing, soccer, vegetable gardening, and is rarely found without a good book at his side.
Elliott Friedman, MD, FAAP PEM

Dr. Friedman is board certified in both pediatric emergency medicine and pediatrics. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in pediatrics at the Montefiore/Einstein program where he also served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University.
Currently, Dr. Elliott M. Friedman is the Medical Director of PM Pediatrics of Carle Place and Rockville Centre, and was previously a lead physician at PM Pediatrics of Syosset. Dr. Friedman is the former Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, as well as the former Director of Pediatric Medical Student Education at Jamaica Hospital where he worked for 20 years. He continues to be actively involved in training other physicians in pediatric advanced life support and advanced trauma life support.
Dr. Friedman has served on several city-wide committees including: NYC Mayor's Task Force on Child Abuse, NYC Department of Health Pediatric Disaster Advisory Group and the NYC Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Task Force. In addition, he was a lecture-panelist at the NYC Child Safety Medical Summit in May 2009.
JD Zipkin, MD, MA, FAAP FACP

Dr. Zipkin is currently the Chief Medical Director for Northwell Health – GoHealth Urgent Care, responsible for clinical leadership across their New York City based urgent care centers. In addition, he serves as the Regional Medical Informatics Officer for the New York Market, sits on the company’s national Clinical Steering Committee, and serves as the National Chair of Clinical Quality which oversees all quality projects across the organization.
Dr. Zipkin has a passion for systems analysis, excellence in medicine, and antibiotic stewardship to increase responsible antibiotic use in the urgent care setting. In addition to being independently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with clinical expertise at all age groups, Dr. Zipkin has an extensive computer science background.
Academically, Dr. Zipkin received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was also accepted into the Jonas Salk Fellowship focusing on healthcare systems analysis. He then went onto a combined residency program at Penn State Health, where he earned an Innovation in Graduate Medical Education Grant, became a Center for Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems Scholar, and later served as Chief Resident Physician. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, with a distinguished Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
Hong Choi, MD, MPH, FACEP

Dr. Choi is board certified in emergency medicine. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in emergency medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. He is currently the Director of CityMD Physician Academy and a member of the medical education committee at CityMD where he heads education activities and onboarding of physicians and physician assistants. Dr. Choi has developed a unique provider orientation and performance improvement program on customer service in a retail medical setting with dramatic results.
Prior to medical school and residency, Dr. Choi earned his Master of Public Health from University of California at Berkeley and was a graduate of Cornell's Hospitality and Healthcare Management program. As an Emergency Physician practicing in Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Choi was the Residency Site Director for six years and an Assistant Professor of the Albert Einstein college of Medicine for eleven years where he trained many Emergency Medicine resident physicians who are now practicing across the nation as attendings. He has won Montefiore's Emergency Department's Teaching Attending Award of the Year for 2004, 2009, 2011, and 2012.
Frank Illuzzi, MD, FACEP

Dr. Frank Illuzzi is a practicing board-certified Physician in Emergency Medicine, and is currently the Chief Medical Officer at CityMD, a regional urgent care group with 120 locations throughout the New York City metro area.
Prior to joining CityMD, Dr. Illuzzi was the Chairman of Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, and held an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. During his tenure in hospital based care he served in numerous clinical, academic, and leadership roles.
Dr. Illuzzi has published articles and textbook chapters in his various areas of academic interest, with his current focus on population health issues, specifically Public Health Screenings such as Tobacco cessation intervention, Hypertension awareness, Pediatric asthma, and Diabetes screening in alternative settings like the ER and the Urgent Care clinic.
He is also a sought after lecturer for national medical conferences on topics that include: Quality and Patient Safety, Antibiotic Stewardship, Physician Leadership, Patient Throughput and Workflow, and Delivering on the Patient Experience.
Dr. Illuzzi was born in Brooklyn, NY. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received the honor of Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship with AHA/NPSF in Patient Safety Leadership in 2009.
Dr. Illuzzi currently resides in Fairfield, CT, with his lovely wife, Laura, and two beautiful daughters, Julia and Cecilia. His interests include jazz music, gardening, fishing, and glass-blowing.
Kevin Reiter, MD, FAAFP

Dr Kevin Reiter is currently the Deputy Medical Director of Northwell Health GoHealth Urgent Care. He helps to oversee clinical operations on Long Island. While holding the title of Assistant Professor of Family Medicine through the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell he remains active and involved with training both residents as well as advanced practitioners in the field of Urgent Care.
Dr Reiter has been very involved with starting an Urgent Care training track within the Department of Family Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in collaboration with GoHealth which he currently oversees. His goal is to expose medical trainees to the growing field of Urgent Care and provide a focused training track for career preparedness. He continues to remain active working as both a hospitalist as well as precepting Family Medicine residents in the same Northwell Family Medicine programs at Glen Cove and Huntington Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Prior to returning to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine, Kevin worked as a Physician Assistant in various fields over a ten year career including Orthopedics, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. He is excited to share his knowledge and experience of Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis in the Urgent Care.
Katherine Miao, MD, FACEP

Dr. Katharine H. Miao is the Regional Medical Director for Upper Manhattan, the Bronx and the Metro North region at CityMD, the largest urgent care provider in the New York region. Dr. Miao provides clinical care to patients whose injuries and illnesses require immediate medical attention. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Miao supervises a group of physicians and physician assistants, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medical care for patients.
A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Miao previously served as an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a clinical instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Miao is a graduate of Yale University and University of Illinois College of Medicine. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, one of the nation’s oldest emergency medicine residency programs. Prior to medical school, Dr. Miao conducted research in immunobiology at Yale University. A native of Chicago and a life-long Cubs fan, she is married with two young children and resides in Westchester County.
Melissa Leber, MD, FACEP

Dr. Leber is board certified in both Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is an Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of Emergency Department Sports Medicine.
After completing her emergency medicine residency, Dr. Leber did her fellowship in sports medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she worked with professional athletes, including the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB), USA Rugby and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USLPRO – Soccer) and served as team physician at various Pittsburgh colleges and high schools.
Since fellowship, Dr. Leber has been a Player Physician at the US Open and become an Airway Management Physician and Visiting Team Medical Liaison (VTML) for the NY Jets. She works as a finish line physician for the ING – New York City Marathon, Half Marathon and Triathlon, during which with her combined expertise in emergency medicine and sports medicine treats a wide range of sports medicine conditions.
As an Associate Professor in two medical specialties, Dr. Leber is involved in the education of the next generation of medical professionals, teaching medical students, residents and fellows the art of emergency medicine and orthopaedics. She lectures both regionally and nationally regarding orthopedic care in the emergency department.
Gino Farina, MD, FACEP

Dr. Gino Farina is board certified in Emergency Medicine, and is currently a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Science Education, and the Assistant Dean for Clinical Preparation for Residency at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Long Island, New York. At Zucker he is core faculty in the communications, physical diagnosis, electrocardiography and clinical reasoning curriculum.
As core faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center at Northwell, Dr. Farina served as the Associate Residency Program Director for seven years and Program Director for sixteen years, helping to turn hundreds of emergency medicine residents into board-certified ER physicians now practicing across the nation.
Dr. Farina's academic Interests include medical education, research and assessment, medical Spanish, and global health in Latin American countries. He is actively involved in global health initiatives and in training sessions for medical providers in Mexico, Peru and now Ecuador, where, with a group of other physicians from Northwell, he will soon be teaching basic emergency medicine skills – including radiographic interpretation, electrocardiography, the approach to common conditions and clinical reasoning – to recent medical school graduates.

Dr. Miller is a board certified dermatologist currently working as the New Jersey Regional Medical Director for Schweiger Dermatology Group. He specializes in medical dermatology, full body skin examinations, surgical excisions of skin cancers or atypical moles, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Miller originates from Long Island, New York and received his undergraduate training at Cornell University. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. Following medical school, Dr. Miller completed his internship in General Surgery and two years of preliminary training in the Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. This training provided extensive exposure to management of complex melanoma, skin cancer, and cosmetic patients. Dr. Miller then decided to pursue a career in dermatology, beginning with a one year fellowship in clinical research focusing on pediatric dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. This program allowed Dr. Miller to learn the intricacies of childhood skin diseases, an area in which he continues to both focus and enjoy.
Dr. Miller then completed his three year ACGME approved residency in dermatology at the prestigious University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center, recently ranked as one of the top ten dermatology training programs in the United States.
Dr. Miller has published in peer reviewed journals and authored several chapters in highly regarded dermatology textbooks. He is on staff at Centrastate Medical Center, where he is frequently asked to consult on difficult dermatologic cases. He also currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he is actively involved in resident education.
Lauralee Yalden, MD

Dr. Lauralee Yalden is a family medicine physician who practices telehealth through the Online Care Group exclusively for American Well. She practices full scope family medicine with a special emphasis and extra training in preventive care/wellness, acute and chronic medical care, hospice and palliative care, emergency medicine/urgent care/ telehealth, women' s health, breastfeeding and lactation. He developed documentation best practices, benchmark coding strategies, and physician executive development pathways that are a recognized best practice case study among the urgent care community. His passion for healthcare improvement through technology advancement leads him to routinely consult on clinical technology selection and design/implementation and optimization for electronic health record systems, and clinical team adoption through quality assurance development.
Before starting his successful consulting business, Dr. Harnett served as the Chief Medical Officer for American Family Care where he was a key executive responsible for it's growth from 24 to 170+ clinics during a 5-year span, leading AFC to become the second largest private urgent care operator in the US. While at AFC, Dr. Harnett also provided oversight for Joint Venture designs, Laboratory operations, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Physician Scheduling, Physician Recruitment, Physician Liaison, Patient Advocate, Nursing, and Credentialing Departments.
Prior to his work at AFC, Dr. Harnett was the Emergency Department Medical Director for Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Bluffton, SC (whose emergency department received a Tenet 5-star patient satisfaction rating under his leadership) and Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, GA. Dr. Harnett earned a BA in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire and his MD at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Emory University and was Chief Resident at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He is a trustee of the Urgent Care Association of America's (UCAOA) Foundation and has also served as the Urgent Care Advisor to George Washington University's Antibiotic Resistance Action Center. Dr. Harnett's many awards and recognition include Most Outstanding Resident 2004 Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine. He was named the Emory Physician Assistant Resident Teacher of the Year was chosen as the Physician of the Year by his peers and hospital staff at Coastal Carolina Medical Center.
He is happily married to his wife Casey, is the proud father of 13-year-old twins, and a new baby boy born in June 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys building scale wooden model boats, skiing, soccer, vegetable gardening, and is rarely found without a good book at his side.
Elliott Friedman, MD, FAAP PEM
Medical Director - PM Pediatrics
Dr. Friedman is board certified in both pediatric emergency medicine and pediatrics. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in pediatrics at the Montefiore/Einstein program where he also served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University.
Currently, Dr. Elliott M. Friedman is the Medical Director of PM Pediatrics of Carle Place and Rockville Centre, and was previously a lead physician at PM Pediatrics of Syosset. Dr. Friedman is the former Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, as well as the former Director of Pediatric Medical Student Education at Jamaica Hospital where he worked for 20 years. He continues to be actively involved in training other physicians in pediatric advanced life support and advanced trauma life support.
Dr. Friedman has served on several city-wide committees including: NYC Mayor's Task Force on Child Abuse, NYC Department of Health Pediatric Disaster Advisory Group and the NYC Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Task Force. In addition, he was a lecture-panelist at the NYC Child Safety Medical Summit in May 2009.
JD Zipkin, MD, MA, FAAP FACP

Dr. Zipkin is currently the Chief Medical Director for Northwell Health – GoHealth Urgent Care, responsible for clinical leadership across their New York City based urgent care centers. In addition, he serves as the Regional Medical Informatics Officer for the New York Market, sits on the company’s national Clinical Steering Committee, and serves as the National Chair of Clinical Quality which oversees all quality projects across the organization.
Dr. Zipkin has a passion for systems analysis, excellence in medicine, and antibiotic stewardship to increase responsible antibiotic use in the urgent care setting. In addition to being independently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with clinical expertise at all age groups, Dr. Zipkin has an extensive computer science background.
Academically, Dr. Zipkin received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was also accepted into the Jonas Salk Fellowship focusing on healthcare systems analysis. He then went onto a combined residency program at Penn State Health, where he earned an Innovation in Graduate Medical Education Grant, became a Center for Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems Scholar, and later served as Chief Resident Physician. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, with a distinguished Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
Hong Choi, MD, MPH, FACEP

Dr. Choi is board certified in emergency medicine. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in emergency medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. He is currently the Director of CityMD Physician Academy and a member of the medical education committee at CityMD where he heads education activities and onboarding of physicians and physician assistants. Dr. Choi has developed a unique provider orientation and performance improvement program on customer service in a retail medical setting with dramatic results.
Prior to medical school and residency, Dr. Choi earned his Master of Public Health from University of California at Berkeley and was a graduate of Cornell's Hospitality and Healthcare Management program. As an Emergency Physician practicing in Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Choi was the Residency Site Director for six years and an Assistant Professor of the Albert Einstein college of Medicine for eleven years where he trained many Emergency Medicine resident physicians who are now practicing across the nation as attendings. He has won Montefiore's Emergency Department's Teaching Attending Award of the Year for 2004, 2009, 2011, and 2012.
Frank Illuzzi, MD, FACEP

Dr. Frank Illuzzi is a practicing board-certified Physician in Emergency Medicine, and is currently the Chief Medical Officer at CityMD, a regional urgent care group with 120 locations throughout the New York City metro area.
Prior to joining CityMD, Dr. Illuzzi was the Chairman of Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, and held an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. During his tenure in hospital based care he served in numerous clinical, academic, and leadership roles.
Dr. Illuzzi has published articles and textbook chapters in his various areas of academic interest, with his current focus on population health issues, specifically Public Health Screenings such as Tobacco cessation intervention, Hypertension awareness, Pediatric asthma, and Diabetes screening in alternative settings like the ER and the Urgent Care clinic.
He is also a sought after lecturer for national medical conferences on topics that include: Quality and Patient Safety, Antibiotic Stewardship, Physician Leadership, Patient Throughput and Workflow, and Delivering on the Patient Experience.
Dr. Illuzzi was born in Brooklyn, NY. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received the honor of Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship with AHA/NPSF in Patient Safety Leadership in 2009.
Dr. Illuzzi currently resides in Fairfield, CT, with his lovely wife, Laura, and two beautiful daughters, Julia and Cecilia. His interests include jazz music, gardening, fishing, and glass-blowing.
Kevin Reiter, MD, FAAFP

Dr Kevin Reiter is currently the Deputy Medical Director of Northwell Health GoHealth Urgent Care. He helps to oversee clinical operations on Long Island. While holding the title of Assistant Professor of Family Medicine through the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell he remains active and involved with training both residents as well as advanced practitioners in the field of Urgent Care.
Dr Reiter has been very involved with starting an Urgent Care training track within the Department of Family Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in collaboration with GoHealth which he currently oversees. His goal is to expose medical trainees to the growing field of Urgent Care and provide a focused training track for career preparedness. He continues to remain active working as both a hospitalist as well as precepting Family Medicine residents in the same Northwell Family Medicine programs at Glen Cove and Huntington Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Prior to returning to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine, Kevin worked as a Physician Assistant in various fields over a ten year career including Orthopedics, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Katherine Miao, MD, FACEP
Regional Medical Director - CityMD Urgent Care
Dr. Katharine H. Miao is the Regional Medical Director for Upper Manhattan, the Bronx and the Metro North region at CityMD, the largest urgent care provider in the New York region. Dr. Miao provides clinical care to patients whose injuries and illnesses require immediate medical attention. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Miao supervises a group of physicians and physician assistants, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medical care for patients.
A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Miao previously served as an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a clinical instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Miao is a graduate of Yale University and University of Illinois College of Medicine. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, one of the nation’s oldest emergency medicine residency programs. Prior to medical school, Dr. Miao conducted research in immunobiology at Yale University. A native of Chicago and a life-long Cubs fan, she is married with two young children and resides in Westchester County.
Melissa Leber, MD, FACEP
Director of Emergency & Sports Medicine - Mount Sinai Hospital System
Dr. Leber is board certified in both Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is an Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of Emergency Department Sports Medicine.
After completing her emergency medicine residency, Dr. Leber did her fellowship in sports medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she worked with professional athletes, including the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB), USA Rugby and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USLPRO – Soccer) and served as team physician at various Pittsburgh colleges and high schools.
Since fellowship, Dr. Leber has been a Player Physician at the US Open and become an Airway Management Physician and Visiting Team Medical Liaison (VTML) for the NY Jets. She works as a finish line physician for the ING – New York City Marathon, Half Marathon and Triathlon, during which with her combined expertise in emergency medicine and sports medicine treats a wide range of sports medicine conditions.
As an Associate Professor in two medical specialties, Dr. Leber is involved in the education of the next generation of medical professionals, teaching medical students, residents and fellows the art of emergency medicine and orthopaedics. She lectures both regionally and nationally regarding orthopedic care in the emergency department.
Gino Farina, MD, FACEP
Professor of Emergency Medicine - Hofstra | Northwell
Dr. Gino Farina is board certified in Emergency Medicine, and is currently a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Science Education, and the Assistant Dean for Clinical Preparation for Residency at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Long Island, New York. At Zucker he is core faculty in the communications, physical diagnosis, electrocardiography and clinical reasoning curriculum.
As core faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center at Northwell, Dr. Farina served as the Associate Residency Program Director for seven years and Program Director for sixteen years, helping to turn hundreds of emergency medicine residents into board-certified ER physicians now practicing across the nation.
Dr. Farina's academic Interests include medical education, research and assessment, medical Spanish, and global health in Latin American countries. He is actively involved in global health initiatives and in training sessions for medical providers in Mexico, Peru and now Ecuador, where, with a group of other physicians from Northwell, he will soon be teaching basic emergency medicine skills – including radiographic interpretation, electrocardiography, the approach to common conditions and clinical reasoning – to recent medical school graduates.

She received a BS in Brain and Cognitive Science from MIT, an MD with Distinction in Research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed psychiatric residency and chief residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She has worked at the Family Center for Bipolar Disorder at Beth Israel and now specializes in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for the care of treatment-resistant depression.
Lisa Thompson, MD
Medical Director – Anthem
Dr. Lisa Thompson is currently a medical director at Anthem. She joined the Nevada Medicaid division of Anthem in 2017. She provides clinical leadership to the health plan team, oversees program ideation and implementation and serves as one of the principle medical advisors to the company’s executive leadership.
Dr. Thompson is board certified in both emergency medicine and hospice/palliative medicine. Prior to joining Anthem, she had a 20+ year clinical career providing direct patient care in both specialties and in a variety of care settings including the Navajo reservation and on-line care. She was one of the first telehealth providers to join American Well (Amwell) in 2010. As a member of their Online Care Group, she performed thousands of virtual urgent care encounters through the Amwell and LiveHealthOnline telemedicine platforms. At one time she possessed 35 state medical licenses so that she could provide online care to patients across the country.
In 2019, Dr. Thompson completed a master’s in business administration degree with a concentration in health care administration through the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Isenberg School of Management. She received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Thompson works and resides in New York City.
Anna Huang, MD
Clinician Educator - NYC Department of Health
Dr. Anna Huang is a Clinician Educator and Physician-in-Charge with the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene's Bureau of STD Control. She cares for patients in the sexual health clinics and engages in research and protocol development within the Bureau. She trains health department clinicians and rotating infectious disease and preventive medicine fellows. Dr. Huang is also a frequent grand round presenter to clinicians and medical residents in NYC. She received her medical degree from Cornell and trained in family medicine at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She has worked in primary care, urgent care, addiction medicine, and reproductive health settings.
Jason Miller, MD FAAD
Medical Director - Schweiger Dermatology Group
Dr. Miller is a board certified dermatologist currently working as the New Jersey Regional Medical Director for Schweiger Dermatology Group. He specializes in medical dermatology, full body skin examinations, surgical excisions of skin cancers or atypical moles, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Miller originates from Long Island, New York and received his undergraduate training at Cornell University. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. Following medical school, Dr. Miller completed his internship in General Surgery and two years of preliminary training in the Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. This training provided extensive exposure to management of complex melanoma, skin cancer, and cosmetic patients. Dr. Miller then decided to pursue a career in dermatology, beginning with a one year fellowship in clinical research focusing on pediatric dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. This program allowed Dr. Miller to learn the intricacies of childhood skin diseases, an area in which he continues to both focus and enjoy.
Dr. Miller then completed his three year ACGME approved residency in dermatology at the prestigious University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center, recently ranked as one of the top ten dermatology training programs in the United States.
Dr. Miller has published in peer reviewed journals and authored several chapters in highly regarded dermatology textbooks. He is on staff at Centrastate Medical Center, where he is frequently asked to consult on difficult dermatologic cases. He also currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he is actively involved in resident education.
Lauralee Yalden, MD
Telehealth Physician - American Well
Dr. Lauralee Yalden is a family medicine physician who practices telehealth through the Online Care Group exclusively for American Well. She practices full scope family medicine with a special emphasis and extra training in preventive care/wellness, acute and chronic medical care, hospice and palliative care, emergency medicine/urgent care/ telehealth, women' s health, breastfeeding and lactation. Dr. Yalden earned her BS with general academic honors from the University of Miami and her MD from Ross University School of Medicine. She is very active with the AAFP both locally and nationally and has served as a member delegate on several AAFP committees. She is the Founder of the AAFP Telehealth MIG (Member Interest Group) and past Chair and Co-Chair. She has also served as a telehealth expert panelist for the Robert Graham Center, in Washington DC. Dr. Yalden has appeared on the CBS Evening News, The Dr. Oz Show, and several local news stations. She has been interviewed in The Wall Street Journal, in addition to several other publications. Dr. Yalden resides in Englewood, NJ with her husband, and two children.
